Coping with Break Up

Sometimes, it happens so that we leave a person whom we used to love, or we are left by such person. If there are still some feelings left, such situation is always very stressful, and lots of people even don’t know what to do and how to cope with the break up. They don’t know how to live next; don’t know how they will get used to life without that very person by their side and so on. Yet, there are ways to cope with everything that tortures each person who has at least once experienced such situation.

At first, you will be shocked. You will be scared and confused, and sometimes it may take months to accept what happened. The worst decision is to lock yourself in a cell and not to do anything but to think everything over again and again feeling pity for your situation. It is better to spend time on air, for example, walking and meditating.

Accept that this has happened. Don’t try to keep on writing the person with whom the break up occurred. This will not help and will not fix the situation. It will only make you even more unhappy. Understand that this has happened and you will have to deal with this.

As soon as you understand everything, you may feel the desire to lock inside yourself or inside your flat doing just nothing, as you think that you have lost the reason for this. You will have to make yourself take a shower and go for job or meet people and communicate with them. Isolation will not help, it is just useless. Besides, communication with other people will help you to distract.

It’s OK if you feel anger. This is the protective reaction on situation. You may talk about it or write somewhere or even scream out. The only thing you shouldn’t do is acting on it. Don’t try to commit any revenge or harm to the person who has left you. There are surely were reasons for such decision, so don’t make foolish things.

Because of the realization of your loss, you will fall into depression. You might probably think that this will never end, and you will never cope with what has happened. Anyway, everyone copes. There is a belief that love vanishes twice longer than it lasted. For example, you were together for two years, so in four next you will feel completely free. It is in case if you don’t meet anyone whom you will fall in love sooner.

Finally, you will accept that this has happened and you will not have to live this through once again. You may still feel sad about your past, but just smile because it was, and don’t cry because it passed!
